As you may have heard…we recently made a trip down to NYC for the Fall 2013 Bridal fashion week. Our whirlwind trip was a jam packed, three-day get-away that left us euphoric and exhausted. We were sooo excited to finally meet Lea Ann Belter. She is truly the nicest person you would want to meet and her designs are so beautiful. We are taking a new approach to our Lea Ann Belter Bridal picks for Fall 2013. We know you’re going to love them! We had a fabulous dinner out with our rep from Essense of Australia, met with our amazing vendors at Malis Henderson and Nina Bridal and watched a fabulous Watters fashion show. To finish it all off, we went shop crazy with our Canadian friends from Paloma Blanca and Mikaella (too many really great dresses to choose from). There was an impromptu limo ride, lots of shoe shopping, a wax museum and the bright lights of time square to round off the trip. All-in-all, so happy. We can’t believe how unbelievably fortunate we are to make these trips out into the bigger picture and to find beautiful gowns to bring back to Newfoundland. We are so excited for them to actually arrive at the boutique because this season’s dresses are amazing, beautiful works of art! Check out the latest trends for bridal fashion:
Trend: Blush Wedding Dresses
Shades of blush (whether peach-hued or completely pink) were big on the Fall 2013 bridal runway. Traditional white wedding dresses don’t flatter everyone’s skin tone, so it’s a lovely option to have, as well as soft and feminine.
Trend: Sweet Romantic Wedding Dresses
Last season’s runways saw plenty of lace, and this time around, the soft, romantic trend continues—although with more A-line, less figure-conscious silhouettes
Trend: Sleek, Minimalist Wedding Dresses
The sleek, minimalist look is a major fashion trend on the bridal runways: This season, it’s enhanced by subtle details such as high-low skirts and waist sashes. This is a clean and classic look—well-tailored.
Trend: Floral Wedding Dresses
Fun and feminine, the floral trend is a staple on bridal runways— this season it’s more about textured flowers than flower prints.
Trend: Old Hollywood-Inspired Wedding Dresses
With plenty of beaded details and high drama, glamorous brides are choosing Old-Hollywood inspired gowns for their formal affairs.
Trend: Classic, Long Sleeve Wedding Dresses
The iconic, Grace-Kelly inspired look is back on this season’s runways—another alternative to the much-loved strapless gowns.
